Six bedrooms, a double garage with workshop and a GARDEN at last. After being couped up in two bedroom closets for the past six years it’s an amazing feeling.Guests are welcome…..

Thanks Bas. It is quite a contrast to our tiny place in Utrecht. We now have two Italian students staying there which is a bit scary. If you get invited to any wild parties there let us know! Hope you are doing really well.

Hey Lola – I think they are Jarrah which could be an australian wood. It’s pretty popular over here so maybe you can find a place with it. It’s a b* to clean though.

Love your house! Was looking at expatriate sites in Holland and linked to you. Considering Australia, too, and you almost have me sold. Wondering about cost of living, health care, residency requirements, housing, etc… Of course, being in California now, it can’t be much worse, or can it? If you decorated your own home and I do come to Australia, can I hire you to do mine, too? It’s incredible!!!

You have an amazing sense for lighting; I assume you are using an add-on flash bounced off the ceiling. These are fantastic photographs and you have a beautiful house to boot. Almost every room is bursting with character and warmth!
